Wichita, KS : One person killed in Rock Road crash in Wichita on May 15, 2014

One person died in a crash off Rock Road during the morning commute Thursday, authorities said.

The one-vehicle crash was reported at 7:10 a.m. at 1770 S. Rock Road in southeast Wichita, a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said. That’s just south of Harry.

A person driving a pickup drove over a curb in the parking lot of the Brookwood Apartments and ran headlong into a drainage creek north of the apartments. The motorist may have suffered a medical condition that caused the crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
