Emigrant Pass, NV : 56-year-old California man dies in a single-vehicle rollover crash on I-80 crash in northern Nevada on Saturday, February 21, 2015

The Nevada Highway Patrol has identified a 56-year-old California man who was killed over the weekend in a single-vehicle rollover on Interstate 80 about 35 miles west of Elko.

Trooper Jim Stewart says Jerome Driscoll of Alpine Valley was headed east on I-80 near Emigrant Pass about 10 a.m. Saturday when for unknown reasons he lost control of his 1999 Ford sedan.

The car went off the right side of the road and Driscoll apparently over corrected before the car went into a skid, hit an embankment and overturned about 15 miles west of Carlin.

Driscoll was ejected from the vehicle and declared dead at the scene.

Trooper Stewart says he wasn't wearing a seat belt.
