FRUITLAND, OR : Vehicle crash leaves one dead south of Fruitland on Wednesday, December 7th 2016

A crash on U.S. Highway 95 at milepost 58.5 left one Caldwell man dead and his vehicle lying in a field on the west side of the highway, according to a press release from Idaho State Police.

Christopher W. Lowe, 50, was driving northbound on the highway sometime after midnight when he failed to make a curve.

According to the report, the vehicle, a 2016 Toyota Camry, went off the side of the road, down an embankment, struck the side of a dirt driveway and went airborne before resting in the field.

Lowe had not been wearing his seatbelt and was dead by the time the crash was discovered Wednesday morning.
