Shawnee County, KS : 2 Topekans injured in crash on Highway 75 just north of Topeka in Shawnee County on Thursday, 12th July 2018

Two people, including a 9-year-old, sustained unknown injuries and were taken to a local hospital after a two-vehicle collision Thursday evening on US-75 highway in Shawnee County, just north of Topeka.

The information provided by the Kansas Highway Patrol in a crash report said the crash occurred about 6:10 p.m. at US-75 and N.W. 62nd, near milepost 167.5 in the highway’s northbound lanes.

Troopers said a 2008 Ford SUV was northbound on US-75 when a westbound 2016 Jeep SUV crossed the northbound lanes, failing to yield to the Ford. The two vehicles collided, and both came to rest in the median.
