Halsey,OR : 2 arrested in deadly crash at bus stop in Hauula on December, Saturday 23rd 2017

The Hauula community is still shaken after a vehicle crashed into a bus stop killing a man and sending a woman to the hospital.

Police have arrested two people after the fatal crash.

At around 2:00 p.m. police say a 61-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman from Oregon were sitting at the bus stop near Hauula Kai Shopping Center when a blue SUV crashed into a water device and them.

24 hours later, the site hasn’t changed much. Pieces of the broken bench remain, a horrifying site for neighbors.

“I’m just thinking the tourist that just came to have this happen, it is so sad,” neighbor Philip Corpuz said.

Police say the man was taken in critical condition to the hospital, where he later died.

The woman was last listed in serious condition.
