Bradenton, FL : Boy, 2, suffers head injury when he's thrown from go-cart as older sister makes U-turn on Monday night ,July 13th 2015

Police say a 2-year-old Bradenton boy suffered serious head injuries when he was thrown from a go-cart as his 13-year-old sister tried to make a U-turn.

The child struck his head on the pavement and was flown by helicopter to All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg on Monday night. Police say his injures are not believed to be life-threatening.

The Bradenton Herald (http://bit.ly/1gzCaI1 ) reports the father was supervising the children when the accident occurred.

The names of the boy, his sister and their father were not released.
