Canton, OH : 1 person dead and 4 others injured in a crash in Canton on Sunday, November 23, 2014

A woman is dead and five others taken to the hospital after a crash in Stark County Sunday afternoon. Police say the crash happened in Canton at U.S 62 and Kirby Ave. just before 1 p.m. According to police, 77-year-old Edward Thorton of Louisville was driving a Chrysler minivan and failed to yield to a Jeep Liberty. Thorton and his passenger 90-year-old Anetta Tolley of Canton were ejected from the vehicle. Tolley was taken to the Mercy Medical Center where she later died from injuries. Thorton was also taken to the hospital for injuries that required surgery. He is now in serious condition, according to police. The woman driving the jeep along with her passengers, a man and two children, were also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Source : 1 dead, 5 injured in Canton crash
