Brownsville, TX : One woman dead after head-on crash in Los Fresnos on Wednesday, March 29th 2017

A head-on crash Wednesday evening left one woman dead, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at approximately 10:43 p.m. on State Highway 100, about two miles east of Los Fresnos, according to DPS Lt. Johnny Hernandez.
Authorities say their preliminary investigation revealed that a driver of a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV was traveling west on Highway 100 when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle veered left into the eastbound lane of travel and struck a 2016 Cadillac SRX head-on.
The driver of the Cadillac, identified as Laura Lee Traylor, 53, of Austin, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
