Titusville,FL : A Titusville man killed in SR528 crash Thursday night on August, Thursday 17th 2017

A Titusville man was killed in a crash on State Road 528 Thursday night.

Christopher Cutright, 24, of Titusville, was a passenger in a 2003 Honda Pilot driven by Andrew Polo III, 29, of Cocoa, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Polo was driving west on SR528 near milemarker 27 about 10:20 p.m. in Orange County when he traveled into the grass median. He overcorrected and crossed all of the westbound lanes and through a water-filled ditch before hitting a tree.

The vehicle overturned before hitting another tree, the FHP said.

Polo and another passenger, Trevor Cutright, 19, of Titusville, received minor injuries.

Neither Polo nor Christopher Cutright were wearing seatbelts, according to the FHP.

The crash is under investigation and charges are pending.
