SCHERTZ, TX : Comal County deputy killed in crash on FM 3009 in Schertz on Thursday, 17th January 2019

A Comal County deputy was killed in a three-car vehicle accident Thursday evening on FM 3009 in Schertz.

According to the Shertz Police Department Facebook page, preliminary investigation shows that 44-year-old deputy Ray Horn suffered a possible medical emergency while driving, resulting in the accident. He was transported to the hospital and was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Another person was transported to the hospital with non-threatening injuries.
