Clayton County, GA : 2-year-old killed after driver runs red light, causing 8-car crash on Thursday, 17th January 2019

A 2-year-old girl was killed after she was ejected from a vehicle as it was hit by an “impatient driver” in Clayton County on Thursday night, police said.

The eight-car wreck near Jonesboro also sent three people to local hospitals, where two are listed in critical condition, police said in a news release. The third victim, a 4-year-old girl, is also in critical condition but expected to improve.According to police, the driver of a 2008 Dodge Charger ran a red light at the intersection of Holiday Boulevard and Old Dixie Highway, causing the multicar pileup.

However, police did not arrest anyone at the scene due to an ongoing investigation.
