Aurora, MO : Two people injured in Route K wreck on Sunday, May 15, 2016

Two people were injured in a wreck on Sunday at 10:56 a.m. on Route K, two miles north of Aurora.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Tammy Cordero-Martines, 19, of Aurora, was driving a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero northbound when her vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.

Cordero-Martines suffered minor injuries, and a passenger in the vehicle, Michael Williams, 26, of Aurora, suffered moderate injuries. Both were transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

Neither were wearing safety devices, and the vehicle was totaled.
