Rocky Hill, CT : Trooper taken to hospital after I-91 crash on Tuesday, 31st March, 2020

A Hartford driver was ticketed after he rear-ended a police car on I-91 in Rocky Hill Tuesday night, injuring both himself and a trooper, state police said.
Julio Angel Delgado, 21, of Broad Street was cited for unsafe lane change and failure to move over for a stopped emergency vehicle, police said.
Both he and Trooper Alvin Tao Chen had neck injuries, police said. Chen also appeared to have head and knee injuries. Both were taken to Hartford Hospital.
According to the state police, the crash happened shortly before 8:30 p.m. on I-91 south, about a half-mile north of Exit 23. Chen was sitting in the police car, a 2016 Ford Taurus, which was parked in the left lane because he had been investigating a collision. His emergency lights were on.
