Reno ,NV :Pedestrian suffers broken leg in downtown Reno crash on Tuesday ,August 25th 2015

A pedestrian suffered a broken leg related to a collision that occurred in downtown Reno late Tuesday morning, according to Reno police.

The driver of the car tried to avoid hitting the pedestrian, but ended up striking light poles and a garbage can, police said.

It was not immediately known how the pedestrian broke his leg. The driver reportedly suffered minor injuries.

Police said the cause of the accident is still under investigation. No citations were immediately issued to either the driver or the pedestrian.
