Cedar Rapids, IA : Hit and run crash involves CRPD squad car on Tuesday night, November 11, 2014

Cedar Rapids police have arrested a driver who they say crashed into a police cruiser and tried to run away. The officer was responding to a call on Tuesday night when a white car turned around a corner and struck the back of the patrol vehicle. Police say the driver of the car fled on foot but was later caught. No injuries were reported. The driver's identity hasn't been released. No charges have been reported.
