Police in Marshall County say a teenager has been charged with driving under the influence after his vehicle collided with a school bus.
Marshall County Sheriff Kevin Cecil tells the Intelligencer and Wheeling News-Register that no one was injured in Monday’s accident involving a bus carrying 27 children.
Cecil said deputies arrested 18-year-old Morgan Weltz of Moundsville and confiscated marijuana from him.
Marshall County Schools Transportation Director Dave Smith says damage to the bus was minimal.
Weltz was taken to the Northern Regional Jail pending arraignment. Jail records didn’t indicate whether he has an attorney.
