Sorrento, FL : 63-year-old man died in fiery crash near Sorrento on Tuesday, September 13, 2016

A 63-year-old man died Tuesday in a fiery one-car crash near Sorrento, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers say the Sorrento man was going south on Swan Road near State Road 46 about 3:50 p.m. when he lost control, left the road and hit a tree.

The 2006 Chevrolet caught fire. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers say the driver, whose name was not released, was speeding.

The crash remains under investigation.
