Sykesville, MD : One person dead, two injured in three-vehicle crash in Sykesville on Friday afternoon, March 6, 2015

One person was killed and two more injured in a three-vehicle collision on Md. 32 in Sykesville on Friday afternoon, according to a duty officer from Maryland State Police
A white Nissan Altima was driving north along Md. 32 around 1:45 p.m. Friday when its driver decided to pass a dump truck. While passing, the vehicle made contact with the front end of the dump truck and moved into the southbound lane, where it struck another car, a Toyota 4Runner.
The two occupants of the Toyota headed southbound were taken to Howard County General Hospital with injuries
The driver of the Altima was pronounced dead after being taken to Carroll Hospital Center. A crash team is investigating the incident.
