ST. LOUIS, MO : 1 person dead after crashing into home in north St. Louis on Friday, 19th April 2024

Police are investigating after a man was killed in a crash overnight Friday.

Shortly after midnight, in the 5600 block of Theodore Avenue, police say a man crashed into a home while driving southbound at a high rate of speed on Theodore. At one point, police say he left the roadway, colliding into the residence, which is located in the 5200 block of Plover. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The man has been identified as 36-year-old Lester White.

The crash caused a gas line to break, sending gas fumes into the home. Nobody inside was hurt. Accident Reconstruction was called in to assume the investigation.
