Jersey City,NJ : Off-duty cop killed in Hamilton traffic accident on June, Monday 19th 2017

The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office is investigating a crash that left one person dead Monday afternoon, spokeswoman Casey DeBlasio said.

An off-duty police officer was identified as the victim, which occurred around 4 p.m. on Nottingham Way. A second car was involved, but there were no other injuries.

DeBlasio declined to release additional information Monday night, including the officer's name, citing the ongoing investigation.
