SALT LAKE CITY, UT : Officer has been injured after rolling his vehicle on Interstate 15 during a car chase on April, Sunday 30th 2017

Authorities say a northern Utah police officer has been injured after rolling his vehicle on Interstate 15 during a car chase.

Utah Highway Patrol spokesman Todd Royce says the Bluffdale officer suffered minor injuries in the Saturday night incident and went to the hospital as a precautionary measure.

The chase began in Lehi when officers tried to stop a vehicle for a registration violation.

The suspect failed to stop and fled down the highway.
