Grand Forks,ND : One dead in Bottineau motorcycle crash on May,Sunday 27th 2018

A Saskatchewan woman died this weekend in a motorcycle crash near the Canadian border in central North Dakota.

Judith Brown, 64, of Macoon, Sask., was killed in the crash about 5 p.m. Sunday a half mile south of Antler on North Dakota Highway 256. Brown struck another motorcycle driven by Anamarie Gordon, 47, of Minnedosa, Man., according to a news release. Both motorcycles were en route from Bottineau to the Sherwood Port of Entry to Canada and were slowing down to make a left hand turn when Brown rear-ended Gordon, the North Dakota Highway Patrol said. The two bikes overturned on the roadway.


The drivers were transported to Trinity Hospital in Minot, where Brown was pronounced dead. Both women were wearing helmets, the release said. The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.

Antler is about 50 miles northwest of Bottineau, N.D., or about 50 miles north of Minot.
