Wilmington, DE : Two 19-year-old men injured after a motor vehicle crash in Talleyville on Saturday, November 19, 2016
Two 19-year-old men were hospitalized after a motor vehicle crash in the area of Shipley Road and Silverside Road in Talleyville, according to New Castle County Paramedics.
About 7:20 p.m., emergency responders located a two-vehicle accident involving serious injuries in one vehicle, said Cpl. David McKinney, a spokesman for New Castle County Paramedics.
Paramedics treated one man for a head injury at the scene. Another man was also treated at the scene for injuries to his abdomen and chest area. Both were then taken to the Trauma Center at Christiana Hospital on board ambulances from the Brandywine Hundred and Talleyville fire companies, with a New Castle County Paramedic accompanying both patients.
Both patients were stable upon their arrival at the hospital. There were no injuries in the other vehicle, McKinney said.
Delaware State Police troopers were on the scene and are investigating the crash.
