Cimarron, KS : Three people injured in a two-vehicle accident in Gray County on Thursday morning, April 21, 2016

Three people from Wichita and one from Cimarron were injured in a two-vehicle accident Thursday morning in Gray County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, after stopping at a stop sign on Kansas Highway 23, about six miles east of Montezuma, Matungulu Nsegiyuma Bavuna, 47, Wichita, who was driving a 2013 Dodge Caravan, proceeded onto U.S. Highway 56 without yielding to oncoming traffic and struck a 2015 Chevy Impala driven by Harry Steven Turner, Jr., 40, Cimarron, who was traveling west on U.S. 56.

The accident occurred at about 11:48 a.m.

Both men, along with two passengers of the Dodge Caravan, Nzitukuze Bigigi, 38, Wichita, and Derifina Uwinama, 36, Wichita, were taken to Western Plains Regional Hospital in Dodge City.

Hospital officials did not return a call seeking the conditions of the four accident victims as of press time.
