State police say a tractor-trailer jackknifed and burst into flames when it collided with a minivan on the New Jersey Turnpike.
The crash occurred around 3:30 a.m. Saturday in the southbound lanes near milemarker 77.1 in South Brunswick.
State police the truck driven by 32-year-old Elliot Remi of Queens, New York, rear-ended the minivan driven by 48-year-old Troy Claffee of the Bronx, New York. Remi wasn't injured in the crash, but Claffee was treated at a hospital for undisclosed injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash, which tied up traffic in the area for a few hours.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation. Authorities say it's not clear if any charges will be filed.
