One person was hospitalized after suffering what police said were minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning on the city’s east side, police said. The crash was reported at 6:14 a.m. Wednesday at S.E. 6th and California Avenue. Police at the scene said a white Chevrolet pickup truck that was traveling north on S.E. California collided with a four-door Buick LeSabre that had been traveling east on S.E. 6th. The collision sent the Buick across the westbound lane of S.E. 6th, then up and partially over a curb. The Buick’s airbag deployed, and the car sustained extensive front-end damage. The Buick’s driver was taken by American Medical Response ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of a shoulder injury. The driver of the pickup truck was reported uninjured.
