Midwest City, OK : Child struck, killed by a car near Reno Avenue and Douglas Boulevard on Saturday, April 16, 2016

Midwest City police are investigating a deadly accident involving a child Saturday.

Authorities said a child was struck by a car that a relative was backing out of a driveway at a residence near Reno Avenue and Douglas Boulevard at about 6 p.m.

Authorities said the child, who was about 2 years old, was taken inside the home. Paramedics went to the residence and the child was pronounced dead.

The child was pronounced dead at the scene after paramedics arrived.

No arrests were made and no charges have been filed.
