PAXINOS, PA : Motorcyclist hurt in crash on Wednesday, 19th October 2016

The driver of a motorcycle was injured Wednesday when his bike collided with a car along Route 61 near Ghezzi’s Restaurant west of here.

The crash at about 3:20 p.m. resulted in the rear bumper and skirting being yanked off the car. There was minimal damage to the motorcycle, but the driver was placed on a stretcher and loaded into an Elysburg ambulance for transport to the hospital.

State police at Stonington investigated but hadn’t provided any further details Wednesday night.

Traffic was reduced to a single lane while the scene was cleared.
