Carson, N.D : Dickinson man killed in motorcycle-SUV crash in southwestern North Dakota on Friday afternoon, April 22, 2016

Authorities have identified a Dickinson man who died when the motorcycle he was driving was struck by a sport utility vehicle in southwestern North Dakota.

The Highway Patrol says 65-year-old Michael McConnell was declared dead at the scene a mile west of Carson on Friday afternoon.

Authorities say the two vehicles were negotiating a curve when the SUV struck the motorcycle in a "head-on, sideswipe motion."

The driver of the SUV and its two passengers were taken to an Elgin hospital with unknown injuries.
