BONDURANT, IA : Victim identified in fatal crash near Bondurant on July, Wednesday 5th 2017

Polk County deputies have released the identity of a woman killed in a crash near Bondurant Wednesday.

The crash happened around 8 a.m. on Highway 65 at NE 62nd Ave. near Bondurant. The crash involved a truck and a car.

According to deputies, both vehicles were travelling southbound on Highway 65 when the truck rear-ended the sedan, pushing the sedan south through the intersection with both vehicles coming to a stop in the center median of the highway.

On Thursday, Polk County deputies said the victim in the car was Juliann Saak, 56, of Baxter.

The driver of the truck, Jason Albrecht, 43, of Hazelton, Iowa, was issued a citation for failure to maintain control.
