Henderson couple killed in 3-car wreck in Nevada
The Clark County Coroner's office identified a Henderson couple killed in a wreck involving three vehicles.Police said James Zell, 68, was behind the wheel of a minivan that was struck at the intersection of Sunset and Eastgate roads about 11:20 p.m. Saturday.
According to police, the minivan was struck by a Hyundai Sonata on its left side, causing it to roll to its side. The minivan slid when it was struck again by an 18-year-old driver.
The minivan's driver and his passenger -- 65-year-old Katherine Zell -- were pronounced dead at the scene.
The other drivers involved in the wreck were transported to St. Rose Hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries were not disclosed.
Police believe James Zell failed to yield or stop at the intersection.As of this incident, Henderson police investigated six fatalities over three accidents.
