Willington, CT : Interstate 84 east closed in Willington after crash on Wednesday, 27th January 2021

The eastbound lanes of Interstate 84 were closed Wednesday afternoon in Willington while emergency personnel responded to a car crash with injuries.

The crash happened just after 4 p.m. between Exits 72 and 71 and left at least one person seriously hurt, forcing the highway’s closure, state police said.

No further information was immediately available about the crash and state police have warned motorists to expect delays around the area while troopers investigate.
