Waveland ,MS :51- Years old woman struck by vehicle, killed on Waveland Avenue late Monday night ,August 17th 2015

Officials say a 51-year-old Waveland woman was struck by a vehicle and killed on Waveland Avenue.

Hancock County Coroner Jim Faulk tells The Sun Herald (http://bit.ly/1PjQDCV) Becky Paulk was found dead on the scene late Monday night after witnesses claim she was lying in the street when a car ran over her.

Faulk said the driver stopped the vehicle after hitting Paulk and the incident is being considered an accident.

Faulk says Paulk was dressed in dark clothes and the driver never saw her.

The incident in under investigation by the Waveland Police Department.
