HOOD RIVER, OR : Semi-truck crash results in closure of Hood River Bridge on Thursday, 27th June 2024

The Hood River Bridge will be closed for the rest of Thursday as engineers assess the damage after a truck crash.

Earlier in the day a collision with a semi-truck caused severe damage.

According to officials, a part of the truck sliced through six overhead beams on the bridge's lift span, the part in the middle that raises up.
