KIOWA COUNTY, KS : Woman killed in crash on US-54 east of Greensburg on Thursday, 18th February 2021

One person has died in a crash in Kiowa County.

The Kansas Highway said the crash happened around 2:20 p.m. on US-54 about three miles east of Greensburg. The Kansas Department of Transportation said both eastbound and westbound lanes of traffic were closed while they worked the crash involving a semi and a passenger vehicle.

In that crash, the KHP said a 2016 Buick Enclave crossed the eastbound lane of US-54 onto the eastbound shoulder and collided head-on with an eastbound semi.

The KHP said 37-year-old Jordan Jae Stauth, of Haviland, died from her injuries. The semi’s driver was not seriously injured. There were no passengers in either vehicle.
