I-4 reopens after crash near Deltona, 2 badly hurt

The Florida Highway Patrol said two people, a male and a female patient, were injured in the crash. Air rescue helicopters transported the two from the crash scene.
Troopers said the woman was in "extremely critical" condition, and the male victim had serious injuries.

Traffic is backed up for miles on westbound I-4 in Volusia County. Troopers encouraged drivers to avoid that area of the interstate if possible.
