LAKE COUNTY, OH : 50 vehicles involved in Lake County crash on Thursday, December 8th 2016

More than 50 vehicles were involved in a Thursday evening crash on Interstate 90 in Lake County, authorities said.The incident took place near I-90 and Rt. 44/Vrooman Road.

There were 15 semi-trucks and 35 cars involved in the crash. The Lake County Sheriff's Office says there were multiple injuries and that the victims were taken to TriPoint Hospital and Madison Madison Hospital.

Numerous fire and police agencies responded to the scene. I-90 was closed for most of the night, but reopened as of 4:40 a.m.
