Colleton ,SC: Driver killed in Colleton car crash on Monday morning.,July 27th 2015

Colleton County Fire and Rescue responded to a fatal accident Monday morning.

According to CCFR officials, a 38-year-old man was killed in the single car accident on Sidneys Road at Wasson Lane around 1:55 a.m.

Officials said the Chevrolet Malibu was traveling northbound when it left the roadway in a curve, went down a small embankment, and hit a driveway culvert.

The car reportedly became airborne then landed on the driver’s side, blocking Wasson Lane.

Officials said the driver was not wearing his seat belt, was partially ejected, and had no signs of life when rescue crews arrived.

The Colleton County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol also responded to the scene.
