Anderson Township, OH : School bus driver cited in Anderson Township crash on Thursday, 20th December 2018

A Forest Hills School District bus driver involved in a two-vehicle crash on Thursday morning has been cited, the Hamilton County Sheriffs Office said.

Multiple people were injured in the crash that occurred in the 7900 block of Beechmont Avenue in Anderson Township just before 8 a.m.

The bus, operated by John Demarco, 54, of Covington, was turning left from eastbound Beechmont Avenue into the Pinnacle Plaza.

As the bus turned, it entered into the path of a 2010 Ford Focus which was traveling westbound on Beechmont Avenue, according to deputies.

The Ford was being operated by Emily Atwood, 33, of Cincinnati. Atwood was not able to avoid a collision and her vehicle struck the right side of the bus, deputies said.

Demarco has been cited for failure to yield while turning left

According to deputies, Atwood and three of her passengers, ages 11, 13 and 15, were transferred by the fire department to area hospitals for and are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Five children on the bus, ages from 6 to 12, were transported by parents to Anderson Mercy for treatment of possible injuries, deputies said.
