McKeesport, PA : 8 passengers injured in Port Authority bus crash in Squirrel Hill on Monday, July 25, 2016

Eight passengers suffered minor injuries in a Port Authority bus crash Monday in Pittsburgh's Squirrel Hill neighborhood, a spokesman said.

An inbound 61C bus rear-ended another vehicle just after 11:30 a.m. near the intersection of Murray Avenue and Bartlett Street, spokesman Adam Brandolph said. There were about 30 people on the bus at the time.

The crash caused a chain reaction, pushing the vehicle into the car in front of it, he said, though damage was relatively minor. He said all vehicles were driveable, and the bus had minor damage to the bus rack.

Seven passengers were taken to hospitals. One person was treated at the scene.

Brandolph said the Port Authority will not release information regarding the driver until Port Authority police investigate.
