HUNTINGTON BEACH, IN : Costa Mesa man arrested in collision involving bicyclist and two other vehicles on Bushard Street near Indianapolis Avenue on Sunday, 22nd December, 2019

Last Sunday, December 22nd., a traffic accident occurred on Bushard Street near Indianapolis Avenue involving a bicyclist and three vehicles.

At approximately 4:00 p.m. a vehicle lost control while turning unto Bushard St. and struck a bicyclist and two other vehicles.

Police and paramedics arrived at the scene and the 22-year-old bicyclist was transported to a nearby hospital with moderate injuries.

The driver, Evan Gray-Sweeney, 23, of Costa Mesa, that caused the accident was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol with causing bodily injury and booked at the Huntington Beach jail. Gray-Sweeney was later released on $100,000 bond.
