Chattanooga,TN : Man dies in morning I-24 crash on April, Sunday 8th 2018

A fatal crash at 18320 Interstate 24 westbound Sunday morning left one man dead, Chattanooga police said.

Ladarius Watson, 23, was driving a Dodge Avenger in the middle lane when he ran into another vehicle, a Peterbilt Tractor, at 4:29 a.m., according to a news release.

The impact caused Watson's vehicle to spin to the right and come to rest on the right shoulder of the interstate. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Kenneth Allen, 59, was driving the other vehicle and told investigators he felt the impact and pulled over a short distance down the road.

The preliminary investigation indicates speed and alcohol were factors in Watson causing the crash. He was not wearing a seat belt.
