St. AUGUSTINE, FL : Former Aggie center dies after accident on Sunday, 22nd March, 2020
Marc Manfredda, a UC Davis football stalwart at center in the early 2000s, died Sunday as the result of a recreational accident, The Enterprise has learned.
Center Manfredda stood 6-3, 300 during his playing days and anchored a massive offensive that helped the Bob Biggs-coached Aggies average 400 yards a game. Manfredda was twice named to the all-Great West Conference first team and upon graduation signed with the San Diego Chargers.
“He certainly will be missed,” Biggs said. “He was a great person and a great player. Very tragic. He was arguably one of the best to ever play at Davis. He was in the Shrine All-Star Game and a two-time captain.
