Maryville,TN : Maryville woman injured after causing four-vehicle Alcoa Highway crash on December, Wednesday 13th 2017

A Maryville woman was taken to the hospital Wednesday after pulling out into traffic and causing a four-vehicle accident on Alcoa Highway, police said.

Alexandria M. Amis, 19, Gillenwater Road, Maryville, was taken by ambulance to University of Tennessee Medical Center, where hospital staff said Thursday she was treated and released.

Amis was driving a 2014 Kia Soul when she tried to cross both northbound lanes of Alcoa Highway from Wheeler Road at around 4:26 p.m., according to an Alcoa Police crash report.
