Leominster, MA : Groton woman died after a three-vehicle accident on I-190 Saturday afternoon, February 20, 2016

A three-vehicle accident on I-190 Saturday afternoon claimed the life of a Groton woman.

Massachusetts State Police report that Linda Brandenburg, 68, was killed in the crash on I-190 South near exit 8 in Leominster. Her 1998 Buick Riviera was one of three vehicles involved in a collision at around 1:30 p.m.

An unidentified 40-year-old woman from Milford was transported to HealthAlliance Hospital with what state police say are non-life-threatening injuries. An unidentified 78-year-old man, the operator of the third vehicle involved, was uninjured.

State police haven't released a cause for the accident, but are continuing to investigate. They were assisted at the scene by the Leominster Fire Department.

The left lane of I-190 remained closed until approximately 4:45 p.m. Saturday, according to police.
