One person was killed in a crash on I-24 in Robertson County on Thursday.
The wreck happened just before 11 a.m. north of the exit for Maxey Road. Both westbound lanes were closed for several hours but have since reopened.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said three vehicles were involved: two commercial vehicles and a passenger vehicle. The person killed was in one of the commercial vehicles.
THP said one of the commercial vehicles was also transporting some type of hazardous material, which is being addressed.
A second crash also caused delays near mile marker 16, north of the exit for TN-49, in Montgomery County.
Two people were airlifted to the hospital. The severity of their injuries is unclear at this time.
