HENRY COUNTY, IL : Fatal vehicle crash in Henry County on Saturday, 4th May 2024

A bicyclist was killed after a vehicle struck it night, Henry County sheriff’s deputies said.

Deputies responded at 10:30 p.m. to the 3300 block of Route 34.

According to deputies, the preliminary investigation shows a 2005 Dodge Magnum driven by 20-year-old Darren Chamberlain of Kewanee was driving south on US Highway 34 south of Kewanee when the vehicle struck a bicyclist.

The bicyclist, Tyler L. Bliss, 31, of Kewanee, was taken to OSF Saint Luke’s Hospital, where he died from his injuries, deputies said.
