Clayton man identified as motorcyclist killed in crash Monday

A motorcyclist killed in a crash near Martinez on Monday night was identified by the Contra Costa County Coroner's Office as 20-year-old Clayton resident Karl Barber.According to the California Highway Patrol, Barber was seen down in the bike lane about 5:17 p.m. on Franklin Canyon Road at Cummings Skyway. Crews arrived and were unable to revive him, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and an investigation into the crash is ongoing.
