COLFAX, CA : 6 people injured in crash near Colfax on County Road 3300 East on Tuesday, 21st May 2019

A two-vehicle crash has injured six people near Colfax.

First responders were notified of the crash at 4:45 p.m. Monday on County Road 3300 East, about two miles south of Colfax. The Colfax Fire Department reported finding two vehicles with “heavy damage along with multiple patients.”

One woman was transported by LifeFlight to Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Her name and condition were not available Tuesday morning.Five other people were transported to area hospitals, but none of their injuries appear to be life-threatening.

Additional details on the crash were not available.


The McLean County Sheriff’s Department also responded along with fire departments from Cooksville, Saybrook-Arrowsmith, plus five ambulances from Gibson City, Leroy, Bloomington Fire and Colfax.

The helicopter from OSF Life Flight, along with police units units from Colfax, also assisted at the scene.
