Bakersfield, CA : Ryder Wayne Frazier, 1, and 8-year-old killed, Christy Tucker, 31, and one child injured in rollover car crash on Highway 178 near Onyx on Saturday, March 5, 2016

Two children, out of the three ejected from their mother's car Saturday on Highway 178 near Onyx, have died, the California Highway Patrol said.

Christy Tucker, 31, jerked the steering wheel when she looked back to tell her 8-year-old daughter to put on her seatbelt – rolling the car four times, authorities said.

None of the children were wearing seatbelts and were transferred to hospitals following the crash, the California Highway Patrol said.

Officials confirmed the 8-year-old child died as a result of their injuries, in addition to 1-year-old Ryder Wayne Frazier.

Frazier died Saturday. It is unknown when the 8-year-old child died.

A 2-year-old was also ejected and suffered major injuries.

Tucker's injuries are minor.

CHP said drugs or alcohol do not appear to be factors.
